KANPUR: Police want to question Shalu, who is married to the late pharmaceutical trader Vineet Manocha, for 15 days in order to question her about the alleged murder plot. Police are getting ready to ask Shalu more than 100 questions to try to figure out how the murder was planned, if anyone else was involved, and what part her husband, Subrat Manocha, may have played.

He was 60 years old. Manocha's body was found at his Ratan Orbit apartment early on September 5. At the time of his death, he had more than twenty stab wounds on his chest, back, stomach, hands, thighs, and neck.

A group of top police officers and experts will question Shalu if the court orders her to be held by police, said Commissioner of Police Raghubir Lal to PTI. "The questioning will focus on how the conspiracy was planned and executed, the role of those arrested and whether anyone else was involved," Lal stated.

Police say Shalu planned the whole thing and paid Vishal Gautam, a former worker, Rs 6 lakh to kill Manocha. Vishal and Raj Kishore, who worked with him, have also been arrested.

**Husband's role being looked at**

Subrat is Manocha's son and Shalu's husband. According to the police, he has not been given a clean bill of health and his part is still being looked into. "Subrat has not been let off the hook. "His role is still being looked at closely," Lal said, adding that early investigations and other evidence pointed to the possibility of his implied agreement.

Investigators are looking at Subrat's call logs and other sources of information, such as the conversations he had with Vishal. The police say that Subrat helped Vishal get two private jobs. Investigators also said that Vishal and Shalu had been in touch for a long time.

Police say Shalu and Vishal talked on the phone 309 times between May 1 and the day of the murder. Investigators are trying to get back 49 more messages that were sent during that time and were deleted. Lal said that the police thought Shalu had been planning the murder for about three months and had been getting to know Vishal, who is said to have killed Raj Kishore with Shalu's help.

**Couple went to the meeting the night of the murder**

Police are also looking into when the murder happened and why the couple was at a meeting of drug dealers. On the nite of the murder, Shalu and Subrat went to a weekly get-together of about 25 couples who work as drug traders. DCP (West) S M Qasim Abidi said that the meeting went on until around 3 a.m.There were no outward signs of stress or anxiety in the people there, including Shalu and Subrat. Abidi said, "They looked normal; they ordered food and danced." Police say that when the couple got home from the party, they found Manocha's body.Lal said, "The type and number of wounds showed that the attackers stabbed him many times to kill him." The police are looking at call logs, deleted messages, CCTV video, and statements from people who may know something about the suspected plot.

**Two suspects were arrested after gunfire**

Police say they shot at Vishal and Raj Kishore when they saw them and arrested them early Monday morning. Police say that both of them were hit in the legs with bullets in retaliation. Shalu, Vishal, and Raj Kishore have been caught and taken to court.

The cops said Thursday that Shalu was the mastermind, but her family denied it. Anand Arora, her older brother, said that she was very close with Manocha and took care of his food and other daily needs.

Lal said that the planned interrogation in jail was meant to find out more about the alleged plot, find any other direct or indirect participants, and make Subrat's role, if any, clear.
