Family members said police they had been attempting to reach Dr. Honannavar since Tuesday night. Dr. Priyanka answered the calls and said her husband was napping, then that he had gone out, the commissioner said. After failing to contact, family members found the scene in the flat. The woman is in shock and giving contradicting claims, say investigators.

Police are reviewing complicated CCTV and questioning both families. A murder case was filed at Suburban Police Station. Officers believe the incident was related to a domestic disagreement, but the motivation and chronology are still being investigated. Police need to confirm the child's autism. A post-mortem on Dr. Honannavar should reveal more. No neighbor dispute has been reported. Investigations continue.
