Warangal police disciplined a sub-inspector for using a government-provided police bike for bike taxi services.

Siddharth, the son of SI Shankar, was reportedly ferrying clients on the Enumamula police station Blue Colts team bike.

A client ordered a bike taxi from Ambedkar Junction to Subedari on Tuesday for ₹26, according to police. The buyer was astonished to see police markings on the bike when the rider arrived. Client questioned rider and filmed exchange.

According to the footage, the rider confirmed that he was borrowing a police officer's bike to provide rides. Video became viral on social media.

Enumamula CI J Suresh identified the motorbike as belonging to the station and assigned to SI Shankar for official duty.Our investigation revealed that the SI's son was operating the government motorbike. "We warned the SI and recommended disciplinary action to the Warangal police commissioner," Suresh added.

The state government gave Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Kazipet police officers bikes to respond faster to crises. Police said the departmental probe will lead to action.
