Hyderabad: In a swift coordinated effort, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) have successfully rescued a minor boy who was abducted from the Secunderabad Railway Station. Law enforcement officials have taken the suspect into custody.

The arrested individual has been identified as 42-year-old Shaik Ahmed Ali Saheb, a professional cook residing in the Chintal area.

According to authorities, the incident took place on June 20. The suspect spotted the young boy sleeping alongside his mother on one of the station platforms and took him. Investigators revealed that Saheb walked off with the child intending to raise him as his own, driven by a personal desire to have a son.

Although Saheb’s family members and neighbors repeatedly urged him to turn the child over to the authorities, he initially refused to do so. However, as local media outlets began broadcasting coverage of the kidnapping, the pressure mounted.

In an attempt to deflect suspicion, Saheb brought the child to the Jeedimetla Police Station, spinning a false narrative that he had discovered the boy abandoned on the street.

Police Breakthrough: During subsequent questioning by law enforcement, Saheb's story fell apart, and he ultimately confessed to the abduction.

Following the confession, the police officially arrested Saheb and safely reunited the rescued boy with his family.
