An accused two-year stalker stabbed a 26-year-old teacher to death in a Faridabad school on Monday. He allegedly snatched her from her home, attacked her husband, and didn't leave her alone despite his family's promises. The family said Sandhya killed him after cutting off all communication and threatened him with a police report if he pursued her.

For four months in 2024, Sandhya taught at a private school near Kot's milk delivery driver Amit (21). Family relatives said Amit got enamored with the friend and harassed her.

She taught primary classrooms in Kot village when Amit met her. He persisted after she left, said Mahender, Vikas' uncle.

Over the next few months, family members said the harassment worsened. Vikas damaged Sandhya's phone a year ago to cut off Amit's connection. But Amit persisted.

In January, he reportedly forced Sandhya and Vikas to leave their Firozpur Kalan home for Kot. “Amit wanted to marry her badly. Despite her marriage and two children, he didn't care. Dharmo, another relative, alleged he stole her when her husband was away.

After the families gathered, elders from Kot and Firozpur Kalan villages took Sandhya home, the family said. They told the police, but Amit's relatives assured them he wouldn't contact her again.

The promise failed.

Amit assaulted Vikas in Firozpur Kalan three months ago, according to Mahender. Sandhya made it plain she didn't want him. After she refused to meet him again, he hated her and her family, he alleged.

Police confirmed the family's kidnapping and assault claims. Sandhya had often criticized Amit, according to ACP Aman Yadav. “She threatened to report him to the police if he kept harassing her. We are checking family-reported occurrences, he added.

Amit entered Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona at 9.30am on Monday by using Vikas's nickname (Vicky) to draw her to the front gate. After she came out, he repeatedly stabbed her in front of staff and kids. CCTV camera caught the terrifying attack, which left her with neck, chest, and back injuries. Police said the autopsy will determine the amount of stab wounds.

Sandhya's family wants the accused punished harshly, stating that constant harassment led to the murder. “His family took responsibility for his behavior, but they broke their promise. They should be answerable, said a peasant who visited Sandhya on Tuesday.

There are also concerns regarding school security. Villagers said the masked accused entered the campus without encountering a guard, while though 300 pupils were there.

The regular female guard was on medical leave for a week, said Principal Tejpal Sharma. A lady peon at the gate told Sandhya that a guy claiming to be her husband had arrived.
Police apprehended Amit two hours after the crime.
