Hyderabad: On Friday, security around the Telangana Legislative Assembly was stepped up after it was heard that student groups were planning to protest the lack of fee refunds and scholarships.
At important spots like Basheerbagh Crossroads, the Old Police Control Room, and Nizam College, police were stationed to keep things safe and control the movement of marchers.
There were extra police teams stationed in key spots around the Assembly building and on nearby roads. Police were keeping an eye on what was going on and closely following the movements of student leaders and groups.
The safety measures were put in place as a precaution because a lot of students might show up to demand that their fees be reimbursed and that they be given grants.
