Rescue efforts began immediately to control the situation and stop the fire from spreading to nearby units. Emergency teams worked hard to contain the blaze. The bodies of the workers were recovered from the site. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire and checking if safety rules were followed at the facility.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed his sorrow over the fire at the Energy Plant in Pharma City, Parawada, Anakapalli district. He offered his condolences to the families of the two workers who died.
The Chief Minister spoke with senior district officials by phone right after the incident to gather details. He expressed deep shock at the loss of lives at the Dakshin Energy plant within Pharma City. He reassured the families of the deceased that the government would support them. He also directed the district administration to provide immediate help to the injured and ensure they receive the best medical care.
Officials reported that relief operations started right after the accident. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, two fire engines from the Pharma City fire station and another from Paravada were quickly sent to the scene. Officials told the Chief Minister that fire personnel responded promptly and brought the blaze under control.
CM Chandrababu stressed the need for officials to focus on safety standards in industrial areas to prevent such incidents from happening again. He also ordered an inquiry into the causes of the accident.
