The mom and her two children from Hyderabad died in a California car accident. The father and couple's younger daughter are recovering, while family are seeking official aid to return the dead to the US.
In the early hours of Tuesday, a car accident in California killed three Hyderabadfamily members and seriously injured two others.
The victims were Nazia Salma (45), her 19-year-old daughter Hafeza Neha Shaikh, and her 14-year-old son Hafez Omer. The family lives in Saidabad's Vani Nagar.
Nazia's husband, Shaik Abdul Naveed, and their seven-year-old daughter, Khatija Shaikh, survived the crash. Two are in California hospitals for treatment.
Shaik Abdul Sayeed, Abdul Naveed's father, said they learned of the tragedy on Tuesday morning. His family tried to call his kid in the morning but failed.
Finally, the local police answered and told us about the accident. Their automobile crashed with another. He said that the other driver died in the incident.
The family has asked the Union and Telangana governments to let close relatives go to California to be with the injured survivors. They also asked officials to preserve the remains until family members arrived.
