A man named Pushpendra, who was 38 years old at the time, suffered severe fractures in both of his legs after leaping from a height of roughly 30 feet from the viewing point of Pahuj Dam in Jhansi in order to make a video for social media.

The low water levels caused him to underestimate the height, and as a result, he fell squarely on rocks rather than in the deep sea instead. Due to the injuries he sustained, he was unable to move and had to rely only on his hands in order to stay afloat until he was discovered by passersby. Shortly after that, the police arrived, and he was taken to a private hospital for treatment as soon as they arrived.

The surgeons have already implanted a metal rod into one of his legs, and they are still planning to perform surgery on the other leg. A video that was taken by his pals reveals the moments that preceded the jump. In the video, one of his friends can be seen making a joke about saying, "May God rest your soul in peace," just before he leaped over the railing.
