Marion County man admits to fentanyl charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – Charles Edward Bell, Jr., of Fairmont, West Virginia, has admitted to possessing fentanyl, United States Attorney William Ihlenfeld announced. Bell, 25, pleaded guilty this week to one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl.” Bell admitted to possessing fentanyl in Marion County in March of 2021. Bell faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
